Combat Rogue in WoW TBC
Maintain melee uptime and turn weapon upgrades into consistent damage.
Combat is the usual TBC Rogue raid damage starting point. Its value depends on weapons, positioning and the encounter’s melee demands. A simple core loop still leaves interrupts, threat and defensive timing to the player.
How Combat Rogue plays
Build combo points, maintain appropriate finishers and use damage cooldowns in windows where you can stay on the target. Blade Flurry requires careful target awareness. Save utility for assignments instead of treating every energy point as damage only.
Leveling a Combat Rogue
Combat is a practical Rogue leveling option with suitable weapons. Use crowd control and defensive tools to avoid difficult multi-enemy situations. Weapon access can matter more than copying a late-raid talent and equipment list.
Combat Rogue in raids & PvP
For raid damage, compare Combat first; for arena control, compare Subtlety. Mutilate Assassination is a distinct positional dagger style with different constraints. TBC Rogues cannot use axes, so Orc axe specialization is not a Rogue weapon benefit.
