Balance Druid in WoW TBC
Bring caster support while planning around mana and movement.
Balance is a ranged damage spec with useful caster-party support. Its personal damage and mana limits differ from dedicated caster damage leaders, but a suitable group can benefit from its utility. Moonkin Aura is a party effect in TBC, not a universal raid aura.
How Balance Druid plays
Use appropriate Wrath or Starfire priorities, maintain assigned debuffs and manage mana. Rebirth and Innervate remain important utility, but they can interrupt your damage plan. Tranquility is a channeled party heal in TBC, not a raid-wide panic button.
Leveling a Balance Druid
Balance can level, although Feral often requires less drinking and handles close-range pressure more easily. Choose Balance if the caster identity matters to you and accept the resource trade-off. Keep an escape and recovery plan for interrupted casts.
Balance Druid in raids & PvP
Caster-party composition and debuff assignments influence the value of a Balance slot. Additional Balance Druids do not multiply the same aura benefit. Compare Elemental for another support caster or Feral if you prefer solo convenience and melee or tank flexibility.

Alliance Night Elf · Horde Tauren. Tauren War Stomp can create a control window. Night Elf Shadowmeld is stationary and out of combat in TBC; it cannot provide the later-expansion in-combat reset.
Best professions for Balance Druid
Party drums and appropriate caster pieces can support a planned raid role; ring spell-damage enchants are a flexible second benefit. Tailoring is an alternative for specific Spellstrike pieces, not Spellfire nature damage.
