Holy Priest in WoW TBC

Holy is a versatile TBC PvE healer with single-target and group-healing options. Circle of Healing builds and other talent choices serve different assignments. Guardian Spirit belongs to a later expansion and is not part of this toolkit.
How Holy Priest plays
Use Greater Heal, Flash Heal, Renew, Prayer of Mending and group-healing spells according to urgency, mana and incoming damage. Avoid treating a fast heal as the answer to every small injury. Plan recovery around the five-second rule and encounter pauses.
Leveling a Holy Priest
Shadow is usually the more practical solo leveling spec. A Holy-oriented build can work when leveling regularly with a dungeon group, but expect slower solo kills. Keep separate damage and healing gear where practical.
Holy Priest in raids & PvP
Holy handles varied PvE healing assignments. Discipline is the closer comparison for arena survival and pressure management; Shadow is a different damage and party-mana role. Priest racial spells also matter in TBC, so consult the race guide before committing.
