Discipline is especially associated with TBC arena healing and survival. Pain Suppression, dispels and efficient support can decide a coordinated match. This is not the later-expansion raid-wide shield-spam model.
How Discipline Priest plays
Balance healing with defensive dispels, offensive dispels, shields and carefully chosen crowd control. Pain Suppression is valuable when timed before fatal pressure rather than after an ally is already lost. Mana Burn is situational and must be weighed against keeping a partner alive.
Leveling a Discipline Priest
Shadow commonly offers a smoother solo route. Discipline can support dungeon leveling, especially with a regular partner, but offensive talent investment and equipment affect quest speed. Do not choose a healer build solely because you expect guaranteed group invitations.
Discipline Priest in raids & PvP
