Marksmanship Hunter in WoW TBC
Choose ranged control and pressure with a bow, not a TBC raid-meter promise.
Marksmanship trades Beast Mastery raid efficiency for a different toolkit. Aimed Shot healing reduction and ranged control matter in PvP. Chimera Shot is not a TBC ability. This is a preference and arena recommendation, not the default raid damage pick.
How Marksmanship Hunter plays
Use the TBC shot toolkit: Auto Shot, Steady Shot, situational Multi-Shot and Arcane Shot, with Aimed Shot for appropriate PvP pressure. Manage distance, traps and mana rather than following a later-expansion rotation. Silencing Shot rewards interrupt timing.
Leveling a Marksmanship Hunter
Beast Mastery usually makes pet-supported questing easier. If you level as Marksmanship, invest in weapon upgrades and pet management, and expect more attention to mana and incoming pressure. Try the playstyle before paying for repeated respecs.
Marksmanship Hunter in raids & PvP
Trueshot Aura supports the party, but many raid groups prefer Beast Mastery damage or one Survival utility slot. Arena drain and control strategies can make Marksmanship useful. Choose your build for the bracket and partners rather than treating a raid tier label as a PvP verdict.
