A ranged marksman bonded to a loyal beast companion — one of the strongest solo classes in the game.
The Hunter is a ranged physical damage dealer defined by the pet that fights at its side — one of the strongest solo classes in the game, able to tame, feed and command a huge variety of beasts. Mail armor, traps and a full kit of shots make it forgiving to learn and endlessly rewarding to master.
All three specs are ranged DPS with different flavors. Beast Mastery leans hardest on the pet and is the easiest, best levelling spec; Marksmanship is the top raid-damage build and buffs the group with Trueshot Aura; Survival trades raw damage for the best traps and control, the strongest PvP choice. New players almost always start Beast Mastery and branch out from there.
