Gold and budget
Server prices and material costs determine value. Compare completed sales and your own spending plan.
When to choose it
Herbalism suits players who regularly travel through herb-rich zones or want a straightforward way to support consumable costs. Alchemy is a natural partner, but selling herbs and buying finished potions can be better when crafting margins are poor.
First investment and budget
Measure how much time you spend reaching nodes and how often competition prevents a successful gather. Keep bag space available and compare stacks actually sold, not only optimistic auction listings. Gathering while doing quests may fit a limited play schedule better than a dedicated farming circuit.
TBC rules and availability
Herbalism has no later-expansion profession healing ability in TBC. The benefit is access to materials and income opportunities. Prices and routes vary by server and phase, so this guide deliberately does not promise a fixed hourly gold return.
