Arms is the PvP nightmare spec — Mortal Strike's healing-reduction debuff is invaluable in arenas, and a two-hand weapon rotation built around Overpower and Sweeping Strikes gives you both burst and cleave. It trades some raw raid DPS for the single best PvP debuff in the class.
How Arms Warrior plays
Arms is a two-handed burst-and-control spec. You keep Rend and Battle Shout up, hit Mortal Strike on cooldown for damage and its healing-reduction debuff, and punish enemy dodges with Overpower while stance-dancing for Overpower and Pummel. Sweeping Strikes turns single hits into cleave. It is a reactive, stance-swapping style that rewards reading the enemy and timing your big swings.
Leveling an Arms Warrior
Arms is the classic Warrior levelling spec — a big two-hander plus Mortal Strike, Rend and Sweeping Strikes means high burst and decent multi-mob cleave. With no pet or real self-healing you fight carefully and use bandages, but kill speed is high, and Charge and Hamstring keep you in control of every pull.
Arms Warrior in raids & PvP
In raids Arms trails Fury on sustained single-target damage but brings Mortal Strike's healing reduction and strong cleave. In PvP it is elite: Mortal Strike is one of the most valuable debuffs in arena, and burst from a two-hander plus stuns and Hamstring make Arms a defining melee threat throughout TBC.
