Destruction Warlock in WoW TBC
One of the simplest rotations in the game. Some of the biggest numbers in the raid.
Destruction makes top-tier damage look effortless — Shadow Bolt and Incinerate spam, amplified by Curse of the Elements, is beginner-friendly yet enormously effective. Raids deliberately stack multiple Warlocks because the math simply demands it, and Destruction is why.
How Destruction Warlock plays
Destruction is one of the simplest high-damage rotations in the game. You keep Immolate up, apply Curse of the Elements, and spam Shadow Bolt (or Incinerate on an Immolated target) as your main nuke while Conflagrate and trinkets add burst. There is no complex timer juggling — you cast your big nuke, keep one dot rolling, and watch huge numbers land.
Leveling a Destruction Warlock
Destruction levels with big, fast single-target damage — Shadow Bolt and Conflagrate hit hard — while your Voidwalker or Imp and Fel Armor keep you safe and Life Tap covers mana. It is a little squishier than Demonology but kills faster: a very popular, satisfying way to blast your way to 70.
Destruction Warlock in raids & PvP
In raids Destruction is S-tier: raids deliberately stack Warlocks because Curse of the Elements amplifies all shadow and fire damage, and your Shadow Bolt output is enormous. In PvP its burst is real — a Conflagrate and Shadow Bolt spike hurts — but with less lockdown than Affliction you lean on Fear, Healthstones and coil to survive.
