Priest in WoW TBC
Not one class but two power fantasies in a single body — savior of the raid, or the thing it fears.
The Priest is a cloth caster that is really two power fantasies in one class: the game's most versatile healer, or a Shadow damage-dealer that makes the whole raid stronger. Deep dispels, Power Word: Shield, Fear and Psychic Scream give it tools no other healer has.
Holy and Discipline are both healers — Holy is the most versatile raid healer in TBC thanks to Circle of Healing, while Discipline is a prevention-based arena specialist. Shadow is a ranged DPS whose Vampiric Touch refunds mana to nearby casters, making it near-mandatory in raid groups. Most players level as Shadow and respec Holy or Discipline for group content.
