Holy Paladin is the most reliable single-target healer in TBC — Flash of Light spam keeps a tank topped through anything, and Beacon of Light-less but mana-efficient design makes you the steady backbone of a five-man or raid group's healing assignment.
How Holy Paladin plays
Holy Paladin is single-target healing distilled. You spam Flash of Light to keep your assigned target topped, drop Holy Light for bigger heals, and stretch your mana with Illumination and Divine Illumination. Blessing of Freedom, Protection and Sacrifice give you clutch utility buttons. It is a low-APM, high-focus style: pick a tank and simply refuse to let them die.
Leveling a Holy Paladin
Holy is a slow solo leveller — low personal damage means long kills — so many Paladins level as Retribution and respec for healing. What Holy offers instead is instant dungeon groups: as one of the best tank healers in the game, you never wait long for an invite once you enter the queue.
Holy Paladin in raids & PvP
In raids Holy is the best sustained tank healer in TBC, keeping a main tank alive through anything while bringing raid-wide Blessings, auras and Lay on Hands, though it lacks strong AoE healing. In PvP its Blessings, bubble and relentless single-target healing make it a durable arena support, if a less bursty one than Discipline Priest.
